Billing & Collections Specialist – Full-Time Position – Panther Creek Office
We’re seeking a highly organized and motivated Billing & Collections Specialist to join our team at our Panther Creek Surgery Center. This full-time position is responsible for managing all facets of accounts receivable related to the Surgery Center’s claim filings. From ensuring proper claims formatting and submission to managing denials, appeals, and patient balances, this role is essential to maintaining a healthy and efficient revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate claims content and submission in accordance with insurance payer guidelines
Monitor and manage accounts receivable for timely reimbursement
Identify and appeal denied or underpaid claims
Process and collect secondary, residual, and patient balances
Communicate with patients regarding balances and payment options
Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with both clinical and administrative staff
What You Bring:
3–5 years of experience in medical billing and A/R collections
Prior experience in orthopaedics or other surgical specialties strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including face-to-face and telephone contact with patients and insurance companies
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with computers and medical billing software
