Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring their experience is smooth and well-organized from start to finish. This is a long-term contract opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical office environment and is passionate about providing exceptional service. Responsibilities: - Greet and check in patients while managing cash transactions and pre-screening processes. - Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate appointment scheduling and billing. - Maintain and update medical records in compliance with organizational standards. - Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while fostering a welcoming and efficient patient environment. - Monitor and replenish office supplies to ensure smooth daily operations. - Address inbound calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with scheduling needs. - Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, and document preparation. - Utilize EHR systems and other medical software like Nextech to manage patient information. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience in a medical or high-paced office setting is preferred. - Proficiency with EHR systems such as Allscripts, Cerner, or Nextech is a plus. - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. - Experience with billing functions and managing medical charts is highly desirable. - Familiarity with answering inbound calls and scheduling patient appointments. - Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. - Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
